Hepatocyte antigen (Hep) may be a new sensitive marker of intestinal metaplasia (IM) and intestinal-type gastric carcinoma and an independent prognostic indicator of gastric carcinoma as results of this study. This figure shows Hep staining in IM of the stomach (x100). IM of the stomach showing positive expression in cytoplasm for Hep immunohistochemically.
