The Cover: Nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) was one of many neural markers shown to be upregulated in clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK) compared with fetal kidney and Wilms tumor using gene expression of profiling. Illustrated is the strong protein expression of NGFR within CCSK tumor cells and absence of expression in the adjacent compressed kidney using immunohistochemistry. Expression of NGFR and other neural markers may provide clues regarding the orgin of CCSK and may also provide diagnostic markers for this elusive tumor. For further detail, please see Cutcliffr et al on page 7986 in this issue.
