The Cover
Scintigraphic imaging of a somatostatin receptor positive tumor, s.c. implanted in Lewis rats, using [111In-DOTA]- NOC-ATE (right), a new radioligand that binds to four (out of five) somatostatin receptor subtypes. The coinjection of radiopeptide and excess of cold peptide (left) causes a significant decrease in the tumor and pancreas uptake (both somatostatin receptor positive tissues) and confirms the specific biodistribution of the new somatostatin-based radiopeptide. For further details, please see Ginj et al. on page 1136 in this issue.
