Immunohistochemical detection of B7-H4 expression in breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). Note intense cytoplasmic and circumferential membranous B7-H4 staining in almost all tumor cells. This circumferential pattern of staining was detected in most ductal and lobular cancers but was never observed in benign breast tissue. (Original magnification x400).
