We established a mice model of mandiblar bone invasion associated with SCCVII cell line. Histomorphometrical determination of the area of osteoclasts of the tumor/bone interface was assessed at sites of invasion in mandibular specimens that had been stained with TRAP, a marker enzyme for osteoclasts. High densities of osteoclasts were found around bone
invaded by tumor.
