On the Cover Immunohistochemical analysis (brown nuclear staining) of activated phospho-Stat3 protein in invasive breast carcinoma. Evaluation of 45 high-risk breast cancer patients showed significantly higher phospho-Stat3 levels in primary tumors compared with matched nontumor breast tissues. Elevated levels of phospho-Stat3 correlated with high Survivin expression and poor response to chemotherapy. See Gritsko et al.on page 11 and Diaz et al. on page 20 in this issue for details.
