The Cover:
The cover figure shows melanoma cells that have undergone apoptosis as a result of treating human melanoma tumor xenografts growing subcutaneously in athymic nude mice with the specific IkB kinase-βinhibitor, BMS345541. Melanoma tissue sections visualized were stained with propidium iodide (red) to define the nuclear compartment and apoptotic cells (green) were identified by the TUNEL staining assay. The photo micrograph was taken using a 40microscope objective. For further details, please see Yang et al. on page 950 in this issue.
