About the Cover:
GBM xenografts maintained by serial passage in the flank of nude mice were used to establish intracranial tumors for therapy testing. In this intracranial tumor from GBM8, intense brown immunohistochemical staining and increased red signal on FISH show highly level epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression and gene amplification, respectively. The radiation sensitivity of 13 xenograft lines was evaluated in an orthotopic therapy model and there was no associationbetween EGFR amplification (present in 7 of the 13 tumors) and radiation response. For further details, see Sarkaria et al. on page 2264.
