The bio-image of the distribution of the &bgr;-sheet stucture. Note the similarity of the distribution of the &bgr;-sheet with the accumulation (reddish-brown color) of cholesterol demonstrated by the Sudan IV staining and FT-IRM bio-image. The distribution of the &bgr;-sheet structure was in striking contrast with that of the &agr;-helix. For details, see Yamada et al. in this issue.
