The Cover
A summary of DNA copy number aberrations detected by CGH in 26 esophageal squamous cell carcinomas. Gains and losses in tumors without lymph node metastasis (n = 17) are indicated by green and pink lines. Gains and losses in tumors with lymph node metastasis (n = 9) are indicated by blue and red lines. Gains of 8q24 and/or 20q were observed in 12, including all (9/9) with nodal metastasis. Fourteen tumors had neither gain of 8q24 nor 20q. For details, see T. Ueno et al., in this issue.
