Gene expression patterns of 17 follicular thyroid tumors analyzed by oligonucleotide array analysis. Follicular adenomas and carcinomas showed strikingly distinct gene expression patterns. Molecular analysis of follicular thyroid lesions may contribute to enhanced understanding of the pathogenesis of thyroid neoplasia, as well as facilitate clinical management.
